Reality 01

Recall is a lifelong project

Quiet-room success does not make an unfenced environment safe. Keep the long line as lifetime equipment and make secure fencing the default for free running.

Reality 02

The boundary will be investigated

Plan as though the dog will jump, dig and dismantle. Height alone is not an audit; the base, gaps, fittings, gates and nearby launch points all matter.

Reality 03

Heat changes the entire plan

In Perth, shade, fresh water, air conditioning and cool timing are planned before activity. Shaving is not a cooling shortcut because it damages the double coat's insulating function.

Reality 04

Cooperation must remain voluntary

Food can lose value quickly and pressure creates passive resistance. Use short, varied tasks, environmental rewards and clear release so choosing the handler continues to pay.
