Stop testing the behaviour and arrange help

Freezing, growling, showing teeth, snapping or any bite that leaves a mark toward a person or another dog.
Sustained severe distress when alone: howling, drooling, damaging doors, eliminating despite toileting or self-injury.
Visibly effortful breathing at rest, neck extension, collapse, or failure to recover after activity stops and cooling begins—seek prompt or urgent veterinary care.
Compulsive repetition that is difficult to interrupt, or self-directed behaviour that causes injury or hair loss.
Extreme fear of a particular trigger with little or no recovery after the trigger has gone.
Escalating guarding of food, toys, resting places or stolen items.
Behaviour keeps worsening after two weeks of correct, consistent management and training.
Any sudden behaviour change—see a veterinarian first to rule out pain or illness.
